Walks In Europe · Piazza Bra 10, Verona
A local guide walks a small group from Piazza Bra through the Arena (if you pick that option), Piazza delle Erbe and the old streets, then rides the cable car up San Pietro hill for the view over the river. Pick it for your first day: in under three hours you know where everything is.

The walk starts at Piazza Bra 10, where your guide holds a 'Walks In Europe' signboard. With the Arena option, the first stop is inside the amphitheatre on pre-reserved tickets. Then the group heads through the old town to Piazza delle Erbe, the old market square, and on to the river, where a cable car lifts you up San Pietro hill to the terrace over the Adige and the rooftops. The ride is one way: you walk down along the river.
It's a sightseeing walk, not opera, and the Arena is a daytime visit. The listing is honest about the limits: the Arena is closed on Mondays, so Monday tours skip it; Juliet's House is an add-on with timed tickets and you go in on your own; tasting and shopping at Piazza delle Erbe cost extra. For an Arena opera night, buy on arena.it.
Expect a real walk. Guests call it three hours on your feet, and the upper tiers of the Arena are steep steps without a rail. Group sizes vary: one guest had six people and heard the next group had 18. At $77 it's dearer than the two-hour Old Town walk, but you get the cable car, a longer route and the Arena in one go.
Look for the 'Walks In Europe' sign. Latecomers can't join once the walk has started.
With the Arena option, you go in on pre-reserved tickets and the guide explains the corridors, the tiers and the games. Not on Mondays.
Via the palaces off Piazza Bra to Piazza delle Erbe and the streets around it, with free time for a look round.
A short ride up to the terrace for the view of the Adige and the rooftops.
The return is on foot. If you added Juliet's House, you visit at your time slot on your own.
